Kyoto Group ("Kyoto") is a leading Norwegian company dedicated to developing electrothermal heat & storage projects. Kyoto has developed the Heatcube, an electrothermal heat & storage technology based on proven and mature technology, that is used for decarbonising medium grade industrial heat processes via electrification.

Industrials are largely reliant on fossil fuels to provide heat today and electrification removes their direct use, providing a pathway for eliminating CO2 emissions when combined with renewable electricity. Kyoto’s near-term project pipeline consists of 25 projects and is expected to more than double within 12 months.

The Heatcube leverages off-peak grid electricity and / or off-grid power to provide low-to-zero-carbon steam to industrial clients at a competitive price without need for subsidies. Heat electrification is expected to play an increasingly prominent role in the energy transition in the coming decades, driven by the continued growth of low cost renewable power.
